Maroon town from London. They have been around a long, long time, over thirty years, going very, very groundbreaking. Band, you know, bringing in a bit of rap when rap was still quite new to scar and reggae just awesome. I Love Maroon ten, I really do. There's such a great bend, such groundbreaking, that last tune was actually off their album they did last year. So that was called or rebel, but it was off. Was it called the freedom call? Or Freedom Call, I think. But we kicked off the show with average man and one of my favorite songs of all time, pound to the dollar. Maroon turn big shared out to those guys. This is the scar show with me. beefy Thursday afternoons on Sunda. Their firm of never saying it's so good. Hope you're enjoying yourself. Hope you're getting ready for a bumper weekend of Ben's fun, frollicking, enjoyment and just good old fashion. Whatever you want to make it, whatever you want to make out of it, but most of all, be good, be can be free. I don't know, cloches not my strong point. Anyway, this is Thursday. This is the scar show. Glad you can join me. I'm just going to bang two hours of great tunes out, just getting ready for that weekend. Oh yeah, anyway, we're going to kick things off with the Benny's. This is single. The did earlier. It was early this year, or late last year, anyway recently. Let's just say that it's call waiting for day. Strong language, wrong language. Warning. Well, live if you want to live. I time my best to understand this mess, but there's consint confusion, not a little stress upper. We go with the float, because I've seen a pin row and when I they doves an while it's my favorite bar. We got drugs and bruise and a little don't fall. We got fee and bills at a bumpujks. So we do a little. We push through and Edie's there. He said he's waiting for you, waiting for the leaving for the run. Oh don't you smile. Please just let me go, Cuz I'm home. I'm on the road, leaving of the loving love, the very different. Now we gotta much and I'm giving. So we do a little. My ground. We shown through and he said there's happy, he's waiting for you, waiting at what say? You say we can't go on this. But...

...to you I raise a wrist thing. You say we gonna go on this till you are raising fishing you say we gonna go on. This is tell you a raise a rist. Wait. Yeah, the beat tears of a clown. We're still reeling from the passing away of ranking Roger a couple of weeks ago, which is got me. Got Me. We did a beat tribute show and played a lot of beat songs and you just realized quite how good they actually were. Yeah, absolutely devastated really. Anyway. Yeah, what else we hear? Are that Benny's waiting for Dave. They're playing. I think they'll definitely playing. They'll be playing some for twenty gigs somewhere twenty of April. They love that day. And Tie from the Benny's is doing a solo show at the scar nation Gig in Julong and the twenty eight, so he's part of that too. I'll be telling you a bit more about scar nation a bit later on because it's coming up very, very soon, next Friday. Can you believe it? Next Friday is scar nation. We've been building up for months for this and it's finally just around the corner. Okay, where we going now? We're going our look, nevill staple in his band have just released a new song. It's called put away your knives. But he has a person relationship with knife crime in the UK. His grandson was stabbed to death kind of late last year and and so there is...

...a huge, huge issue with knife crime in the UK. Now nevill stable as release this song. It's a remake of a message to you, Rudy. Crazy, crazy stuff. But what I'm going to do is playing nevil stable song and then I'm going to follow it up with another tune which is written and recorded by one of our friends of the show, Alex Preston, who was with general chaos, but he's good team that. We Rich Adams to do a song called stop, which is another scar song against knife crime. So we're gonna play him back to back. So I hope you enjoy it. But Yep, they are for a genuine reason and the issue with knife crime in the UK is pretty huge and no good anyway. Let's kick it off with Neville staple. Put Away your knives, Hey, this is a message to your natrious pressures. It to stop an I grow into a man you look up to with a place in your hands. Message to the mess that's not that you did my throat dif from caring guns and night did, you will ruin your life. Miss don't you know what you're doing in your hand to message to take what I want? That is the all nighters who, yes, we know, scarnation next week of the Corner Hotel. I'm Friday. They are coming down. Could be their last ever Melbourne show. But we had Brett Patinson from the band on a couple of weeks ago to preview and he basically says this is the Johnny Farnham farewell for the All nighters. A couple of are getting on a bit but they'll keep doing farewell. Tours keep blowing out, while people still want to see him, they'll keep coming. It also said they're going to be a fourteen piece band. So lucky. The stage of the corners pretty big. Forty piece band, Oh my word, kind of up there with Melbourne Scar Orchestra. But going to be difference. Going to be great to see the all nighters. My told Brett story about when I used to drive from my hometeen Newport in south Wales to university Sheffield. It was always a threehour drive if you went straight through and I bought a tape called this is scar and in the UK. You know, obviously the all nighters were there with Montego Bay and that song was always on that tape and now I'm going to see him live for the first time. I don't think I've seen your night as live. I do see a lot of bands, so I could be wrong. I could be wrong. Before that we had the specials with gangsters and in a couple of songs about stopping knife crime, rich Adams with Alex Preston, formerly of General General Chaos, song called stop, and then another stable band, put your knives away. Awesome,...

...awesome, awesome. Well, this is the scar show with me, beefy, we are plowing through this first hour. I'm squeezing as much as I can in. Stay tuned, though, after the news we're gonna have a bit of fun as nor play some covers, play a bit of Punk Rock, lots other stuff, but we will keep previewing scar nation. Get you excited for next Friday, the nineteen of April, Corner Hotel and Sunday, the twenty eight of April, the Workers Club in Jee Long. What I'M gonna play? I'M gonna play. Oh yes, I did line up this. This is a band there, a Melbourne Band actually. They are called the bare foot space. When this came in a couple of weeks ago, never even heard of them, not really seen them too much advertised around Melbourne, but what a tune this is. It's called bunk and it is an absolute cracker. Hopefully we will see them playing in a venue very, very soon. The barefoot spacemen with bunk, I don't speak. Shot you big for a minute and maybe you doing it. Feel like it. You catch your guys, she be delighted or even excited. Did you stray? Could have got what? You'll be spending your pension. It's all you got on your realize that you've done. You could have just a snack. You to say, I grabbing a beer, a drinking tild. You ever think that something could be wrong? You can't along. You turn it on and I won't be too until you find what you saw. That one second thoughts. Tell us how you Donna don't work. If you got on, you realize what you done. You could have just one, but one that wanna. That wanna. She would snack. You say, yeah, pistol shot down...

...my phone, so you've got to list some my phone perfected on my phone phone. That was the Mason's arms out of Germany, Cologne. In fact, love that. It's called Von vomb Oh yeah, loving it. Well, that's basically it for the first house. Dude, to stay tuned while I'm going to play some covers, some songs you might not expect to hear on this show. Well, loyal listeners will know I play covers every week, but songs the you don't quite associate with scar and the genre, but songs that here that you'll hear every day you'll recognize straight off the bat. What are we here on? Barefoot spaceman? There Melbourne band that's called bunk. So hopefully their repertoire is very, very similar to that. Across the board. Here's a band out of Brisbane. They know longer play together. I am desperately trying to get them to do a reunion gig because they were just bloody awesome. They're called WISEACRE, bigger load of Tim Harrison, Greg Jimmy somebody else as well that I don't can't remember, but they've played for a long, long time. But here is their absolute classic. These two end every GIG with this and it was an absolute barns coma. It's gold. Let's go bawling. Stay tuned for the second hour. This is the sky show with a beefy let's go, let's go, let's go, let's go, let's let's go, let's go, see are first, both first...
