M Scott defines who I am as a person and I will never turn my back on Scott. Looking back, I have no regrets. You should never use the play Scot. We don't play anymore. It's time to have a bit of a Skank and I think that I will in fact skank you, Wonderful Scottishness. I'm calling black. Allegedly, I am the Queen of Scott I'm here in Melbourne. You're listening to the scar show with Bafy and I've got him right beside me and I'm feeling it. Never used to store in the Bible Hut, daddy too. Three wishes for turn. We got some white when I was younger. You ever a fucking ny, ever, ticket, vice, feel ticket, stopping my baby's bed, fishing for the right. Now I spid week speaking the valley, still sick and stopping his hand. Thinks about it now. Now we never feelings. She was such able.

Believe. We try to wash your hands above this. Never time of a lack of relationships and freaking stopping with the heads of the ball. Fell get the eyes and were trying to smif she was such a face like brilliant, absolutely brilliant. That is mustard plug grand rapids Michigan doing the verve pipes, the freshman. Before that we had the resignators doing credit house is. Now we're getting somewhere and you can see both of those bands at scar nation. Two Thousand and twenty next month. I can safely say now SCA nation is next month. March fifth, Brisbane, March six, Sydney, March seventh, Adelaide, March eight, the s be in Melbourne and then March night in a footscraen wrangler studios. There are more bands being added. The main headline band is must have plugged. Then the resignators are very own and out of control. Army at a Mexico and there's a lot of local supports. But I can just tell you the all ages gig on the ninth of March. We've just added Eugene Gray, who is Jamaican artist. He's going to play with a full band and he is being inducted in the Bob Marley School for the arts institute REGGAE Walk of fame. So he is going to be an instant success on the scar nation tour. So we cannot wait to get scar nation going. It is going to be a brilliant few days and he's good to see. Must have plug making the trip to Australia for the very first time. This is the scar show with beefy. We are right in the middle of the world famous cover section. We've had crowded house, we've had the verth pipe. How about a bit of Natalie Imbruglia with a bit of an Austrian twist? These guys are at a Gratz in Austria and they are called the mighty maggots, and this is one of the best versions of torn you will ever hear. I thought that brought to live. She was most came around like she was dying five so be one. It was to cry, but Beda Gun, door, don't know, don't care what we d on the herd more I feel so, I guess, for you, Chilas right, I should have seen one star and the crop beneath my ways, and now this is how I feel. I can I get yeah,...

...brilliant, the mighty maggots out of Gratz in Austria. They have a new album coming out in March. I don't know what it's called. I just know it's going to come out Friday, the thirteen of March. With a release party in that's one Zima, which is in clog and foot. Obviously, if you're in lagonfoot on the thirteen and March, get along to the mighty maggots album pre release. Pay It's going to be great. The playing with hands yellow and hurricane season. Just thought you might want to know. We got fans all over the world this show and we write Roadea DECA. We're going to go back to their she released a lot of EPS, low tech sessions, I think they called, and there is a cover on there. There's tucked away about some Dolly pattern for you. Oh yeah, this is islands in the stream. Hallo, I'm home. You with a fine to come inside. There was something to me that I can't closer and got something going together, making love with the rug. That is what we are. No one to another world and we another. Not I. We got to deep in love and we got no way. The real thing.

We start one together, making love with each other. What we are one one and we will now you put it. Put an album a couple of years ago now, called Rhododeca sings the songs of the body snatches, but that was crowdfunded and it got nearly double the amount you required to get it going and make it a reality. How did you feel about that initial response? Yeah, I mean it's brilliant. I mean this was done for their anniversary. For the anniversary, we have remixed it, remastered it every road, added a couple of live tracks, records at Glastonbury. So you know, we've repackaged it. It's got some more sleeve. No, you know, a lot, a lot nice of product than it was before. Because so that forty anniversary is vinyl only version their days, isn't it? Well, simply because it's still available on CD. So we'll see if it's worth a digital version. The idea of the thirty four anniversary one was them do that. Every month somebody would say to me, and I was when you're going to get the girls like together, as if we were girls, like we're middle aged women. We're not girls, apart from the fact that I didn't get the girls gether in the first place. So it's nothing to do me and it was never on the car. But eventually I just thought I've got to stop people asking me this question. The Way I'm going to do that is by just recording all these songs, because we never had a deal to recording now, so there's never ever going to get done. I remember ringing enough a friend and I was like it's crowdfunding thing actually work, and they said, yeah, to try it, you know, see if it does. So I did and it is okay. The thing about crowdfunding is, though, that what they did. Wouldn't pay you until you send out all the product. HMM, so I had like thirty albums to send out. The reason you crowd funds you don't have the money in the first place. Yeah, then you have thirty albums to send out to the US and the postal cost are extortion at so you end up almost financially on your knees because you spent all this money send out the product and until it's all sent you don't get your money back from them. It's it's kind of like, well, that doesn't really work with it. You know, that's fine for you because you get to keep the money for ages and gain interest and whatever, but all musicians are genuinely going without food, kind of sending out the product in order to get pledge music the hand over the money. They do quite a bit of Dj and around the traps did that feel like a natural progression in your career. No, not at all. It was because somebody asked me to do it and I just thought, our I can't do this, because I remember years ago trying to Dj. I liked choosing tunes, but kind of putting the needle on the record, thaying just you know, I'm short site of the best times, and now I sure I'm even more short sighted. But fantastically then invented these things, ful CD, so I didn't have to put a nat record and could actually not missing up. It was a club called to do ron on that asked me to come and DJ and they only place female voices made. They asked me if come down, as all I'm not a Dach ownest, I'll go on have a go. I'm sure you'd be fine, and that's kind of how it started. I D J A lot. I'm in added on towards, let's a bed over, the special I'll be Djing to and the Matles. So I'm Djing on too SS vinyl tour in the UK and the lecture supporting on Djing and too...

...headline it. And so forty years later, here we are. He's been this final tour and I'm still on the bill. Who? Well, there's brilliant. So we're outside of music and writing and touring and Djing. What else are you doing yourself? I believe you got a vested interest in mental health and wellbeing. Yeah, I teach people who use mental health services. I teach music. I am also an ambassador for tonic music for mental health and I'm now also a governor of London and mortally and hs man will health trust. Yeah, proper grown up stuff, that is. Yeah, propos proper grown ups that. Look, I know, I look. I was involved with music therapy for a long time with a kid's hospital. I've been I've been Brisbane and the difference music therapy can make is phenomenal. I'm sure you should be a huge ever good for that. Yeah, totally. I mean it's a charity called raw material runs a project called raw sounds and what we do is people who are using mental health services and get a place on the project and the projects run for like twelve week term. People come in and will have two hours working on music, writing to and in some cases recorded. But also the end of this twelve weeks we do a big performance to which they can invite friends and relatives or whatever. But essentially you can sometimes see someone come in. They'll come through the door barely able to make eye contact. At the end of twelve weeks, and this has happened on more than one occasion, although sometimes I've had to hold people's hands take them up on stage. They will get up on stage and Sing Song they've written in front of people they know, whereas of three months beforehand, they could barely even look you in the eye. It actually does make a massive different people's Selvista really is great thing, but music there's a great healo and and we know that already. Otherwise people wouldn't do it really with they no, not at all. Are you just mentioned briefly helping people riding songs and writing their own music. Are you still actively involved riding new material? Oh yeah, but I was doing a pro jeck called the low tech, for what we did is a couple of EPS we had. We did the low tex for volume, one low tex for volume too, and the next thing when I get back from sailor is the ession studio and record more tracks, and what we're going to do is take some of the tracks we did before and remix and we when we recorded them originally, we recorded extra bits and things like that. The plan always was to come back and do remixes and add extra bits in and maybe just kind of remodel some of the songs, because we thought that would be really good if we did it in that way. But let's just do it like this for now. I do an album which would be the low tex sessions, which would kind of take the best of those. We may well have to release another day alongside or another visital version, alongside basically all turn it versions, and they were always free tracks. So maybe, who knows, we'll have to see what songs have gotten, how they hang together. That's the next job. But yeah, it's brilliant. We recorded black bomb, which is Paul Weller's studio, so the sound is really and very kind of him to let us come in. Can it's not really a commercial studio. Just let me become and record there if she liked because, say, we just played islands in the stream off low tech volume one. I do too. There you go. See, I love that song. Thank you. I think it's the best reggaar version ever. There have been a couple of others and I may be blowing my own trumpet, but they really are not a patter on ours. I think we've done the best one. Yeah, very proud of that. Well, all the people a plane aren't no problem at Tom My pleasure. I'm always happy to play the best tunes I can find from all over the planet. Is that's my the what I do the shower andantest it. Thank you in regard to that as well. I'm glad you've come to Australia because you know, it's very hard for obviously people in Australia come and see you play. We've got this opportunity, obviously in Melbourne on Saturday. What can we expect from a Rhodo deck a show? Well, I won't tax you with too much dancings. It's too hot. Are Recognize that it is too hot and we can all have a bit of a laugh. As you can tell, I'm not exactly stuck for words most of my time, so I do tend to chat with the audience and try and, you know, get a little bit over a poor going. But to be honest, I could probably, you know, if I was stuck in the shoe box by myself. You probably hear me talking kind of what I do so they'll be I'll be interacting with the audience. They will hear old body snatches tunes that they expect to hear. They'll be one of two bodies snatch as tunes that they maybe have never heard before, a couple of covers that we really like. So yeah, all kinds of things really. They'll be a nice mixture of old, new and in between. Very good. Now you're playing with the Melbourne's own scavender's friends of the show, the odd scars. It is at the tote and tickets are still available. Hey, don't odd ticks as ozed ti x. If you want to get your tickets, you can buy tiets at the door.
