I guess I forget. Yesterday I paid you back Dan's last day with something special. Do you think make me sick was right for the job yesterday leaving. Yeah, the poker's there with make Hay, one of my favorite porker's tunes, and a play that because apparently six years ago today the Porkman had a few too many drinks and fell off the stage and that came up in my memories today and I thought, yeah, we will play that. Also about memories. We open the show with a long life set from the beat featuring ranking Roger. Ranking Roger Unfortunately passed away about one exactly eleven months ago today and he would have been fifty seven if his birthday from a Friday. So would have low play from the beat ranking full stop, wine and grind, standing Margaret and mirror in the bathroom all our life, because we love a live set here on the scar show with beefy. We kick the show off with the new one from the sunny coast. Rue Boys up there on the sunny coast in Queensland, root style. That's great stuff. Love to hear that it's gotta be a great show tonight. Lots of new stuff, lots of old stuff and we've got dave cush gets Nur from muster plug joined us on the phone. Hopefully, if everything works out well, we should be talking to him in about fifteen minutes, which will be good ahead of their Australian tour which starts next week. got a bit of Said News today as well that at a control army cut make the scar nation tour narrow due to some logistical issues. I won't go into it because it's a little bit embarrassing for everyone involved, but hopefully we're going to rebook them for later on in the year. Yep, we'll look forward to the aid of Control Army coming preaps. We may team them up. We've lost come from monkeys and have an all Mexican deal or something. Who knows? Anyway, we best get on with the tunes. This is absolutely a brand new this is the great band Adelana, called the skins. This is called the island either the wild making bad decisions, very bad decisions, might be what you said. There might be...

...more you reads. I don't play well with imperial restoration, where you brought up the nation, like a Great Britain chot the island, whereas I surely want to see Climb Jones. Was this because I feel it all. You don't nothing like ex sit in duck, to follow my heart, to Rama, love, to have trees, be a chasing money. Perhaps thess a screw in my nuts. Perhaps some a never just stuck in about. No more me that I'm a frequency. So I'm like to the farm alone, more like a crush bess, more like a crush beasts of the package time a crime that I wind going out of my mind. I'm so key. Must be a monkey seh. I find that Scho sit my nuts. I'M gonna digger right deep and up and let love and to flow free. So I'm let you and I'm more like a crush bess, more like a crush. Be A pop, pop back in black. When we say this is one of our you're gonna run to the back and I saw won't die.

It's a side. Let yourself for sting. We Might Cup custom bunk right comes to numb on the edge of the seat. So we l more like rush, more like rushby. Hey good, is it our good? Is that death? A Gulditar pup out of Essex in England. That is off their latest album from last year, in over our heads, and that is the number one track. Just another pub band. Love it. And then before that the brand new e from the skins called the island. What a great band of skins are. They are melding all sorts of genres into one, but they are bloody great. They just suppoint the interrupters on the UK tour the other day. Now Dave Gersh Guess Na, Kush Guest Na. I'm going to make up surnames as long as I keep going. will be join US fairly shortly from mustard plug and you were listening to the scar show with me, beefy. WE'RE ON SUDDEN FM all over the world. Thanks for joining us, wherever you may be. Good afternoon the UK, Good Morning America and good night. Why are you still listening to us? If you're in Australian let's R in Perth, and that is possible anyway. Deals gone bad there at Chicago, Illinois, just down the road from Detroit, a grand repage. Mr Good, deals gone bad, one of my favorites of this messing around. If I can't trust your many people around me wander. Seems you never can know about the WHO doesn't play around with emotions? Baby, baby, show around around the summer, the son of the big sound Johnson down about girl. Never shot rings out in the midday. So...

...you didn't get in and pass my mom. How can I leave this way? How can it be done? Want to live like a man. I on all four dollar. I found myself with my eye. I'm a back. Never sleep it well, looking for a way that I'll get me. I'll do please. Why don't say one way to get to the US, to don't try to buy back in the streets, knowing now that the goal was alive. See, tell me what to do to survive. Great, you don't want another man for the point in his hand. Now she understand. She just said at the shadow all never known life of time. All you ever know. Don't try to buy. That is, of course, the fabulous mustard plug. And we are excited here in Australia. Of course we are. scarnation two thousand and twenty kicks off next week all over the East Coast and in Adelaide, all the way from grand rapids, Michigan, we are very excited. For the first time in Australia. First Time for everything. They all say. Must have plug coming in. And on the phone I've got Dave cush guess NA, the Front Man of the wild famous, the world renowned, the best sca band in Michigan and the US of a good morning day, thanks for getting up early. That's yeah, Hey, no problem. Yeah, I'm still thanks for us. Give me a call. No problems all. Now you jump on the plane next week.

You're heading to our fair huge island next week for the first time. Are you excited? It's this stupid question. Really, we're so excited I can't see in it. I've been wanting to come to Australia for decade. You know, there's we've had tods of fans all these email. Hasn't bright US saying come, Dall Fail Cup will show you, and it just has never worked out until now. So the stars kind of aligned and we're heading over. I can't believe. It's going to be great. We cannot wait. Now. I've done is this year. You go as it just been so busy. You just you've been a bit of a part time banned for the last couple of years and all of a sudden the back half of two thousand and nineteen and up to now you're non stop playing shows. It's got to be good. Yeah, it's great, it's great. Yeah, no, I mean we it's will think we've been around for twenty eight years. We've never stopped touring. But you know, in around two thousand kind of slowed down for my into doing like a hundred hundred fifty shows a year to like we're like forty fifty shows a year, stuff like that. But you're this last year. It's just like, I know what's going on. There's a lot of Scott there's a lot of energy in the Scott Scene in general and people are stoked about it. So we kind of planned out our tours for the year and then we kept getting offering all this other crazy stuff that was too good to turn down. Like we were to Japan, we had some days gold finger, like we did some dates with the boss Jones a little while ago, and then Australia. So it's just like how can we turn this awesome stuff down? We can't. So we're just busier than ever. Now I've got asked the question does this mean with all this live stuff you've been playing, this mean is going to be new stuff coming soon. You know, it's funny because we took a long time off of writing. We're just kind of like just focused on hitting the road and living our lives, that all that stuff. But the last like say six months we've really started to get back to like songwriting. You know, nothing's like everything's alids in very rough for arms and you know, so stuff has lerid. So it doesn't solve it, you know, just seem like bits and pieces, but we have probably have like twelve bits and pieces of songs that were working on. So we're hoping, I think when we come back to from Australia we're going to set like, you know, six weeks aside to kind of really focus on songwriting and I don't know, hopefully we'll get to the studio sometime this year. We'll see, but we're definitely back at at songwriting, which is which is pretty exciting for us. Now everyone's loves seeing good live X and, like you said, you guys have been around Seine one thousand nine hundred and ninety one. What is the secret to longevity? The secret it's really simple and it's just loving what you do. You know, I we've before we started the band we were like big Scott Music fans and we kind of approached the music from that perspective. So I mean I think there's other bands that have like you know, they get into music because, I don't know, they want to be rock stars or to get money, they want to get free beer, they want to get girls or whatever it is, and that's all well and good, but I mean we really started the band we were going to cover a small sitting in green rapids and before we started there were no other stob band and no scob bands would tour through here. So we just figured out that the only way to make that happens to start a band and that's just kind of continue on. I'm like twenty eight years later, where I still like playing a lot or love going to show, Scott shows. I just went saw the toasters just couple days ago. You know, it was great. So I mean that's the key, just enjoying it. The great thing at the moment is there are so many new bands. Then we're going to talk to you about with St Clair's shoes and MIT juvene because seventy five days a son they have just blested onto the scene. I'm loving this stuff. But St Clair's shoes. Where is that? Sat Clash Ours. That's basically one of the suburbs of Detroit. So that's actually my buddy Darren's band. He's been in like skob bands for fifteen years or so and he kind of like he had one that was going on and maybe fifteen years ago and that kind of fell apart and then he's been trying to put bands together. But yeah, is you. Band's great. He finally got something that kind of is really clicking and they're doing great. So that mean daring deserves it. He's a good guy and I'm really stoke for them. Yeah, they're great, but not just a new bands bringing out new tunes all the time. And the way music comes out nowadays electronically makes it so easy to release it through Youtube and through facebook and everything else. But it's the old bands as well as still act there playing love, punk rock bowling this year. What a lineup that is. He's just phenomenal, ridiculous. Yeah, it's it's amazing. Yeah, I thought that like, Oh, I wish we were on that. Yeah, I'm pretty said O madness coming over. I wish it would play a few more shows. But yeah, there's that. There's a bunch of festivals. We're, yeah, doing one cop super and ova in the spring. That's going to be huge, as like today festival as well that we're doing. It's like just all scar two days and that's going to be a really incredible one to yeah, we've got to create something in Australia that just gets all these bands wanting to come here. The like the South by southwest of SCA music down in Australia. Make sure everyone has a holiday out of the Northern Hemisphere of winter and we'll just will put it on on the beach and be like a Huntington beach of the back to the beach festival or something. Let's just give you guys some Sun, Right. Yeah, I think that's the brilliant idea. Let's do it. Let's doing exactly right now. You guys have got five dates in five days now. You doing a gonna do a lot of traveling when you're...

...here. We're playing Brisbane on March the fifth at the Crow Bar. You're playing Sydney match the six it's factory theater. March the seventh in Adelaide at the ENIGMA ENIGMA bad and two dates in Melbourne, the world famous Gershman Room at the SB the Esplanade Hotel and St Kilda and then on the Monday, so public holiday in Monday's an all ages gig at Wrangler Studios's going to be phenomenal. Have you got anything new for us or different or something we can expect from from the mustard plug shows? Well, it's all going to be new to Australia. Very true. Yeah, you know, actually, like like I new stuff really isn't is it ready for new years yet? So it's gonna looking to kind of do a mix of like all our stuff. You know, it's going to be more like a kind of like a little bit off each album and just kind of throw it out there and we're going to have fun. That's all we can ever ask is that you we have fun and we have enjoyment and people get up and get to see you for the first time. Well, most people get to see you for the first time, but we are very, very excited by this tour because, I don't know, I don't know, friends, is it told you too much about skinnation? We try to revive this festival we used to put on and it's very difficult to kind of drive people towards discussing and this guys, he is just fun too, laid back for people to buy tickets in advance and everything else. It's difficult to judge how we're going to go, but we're just trying to create this new thing that we can push. SCAMBANDS and the pokers are out playing again. Area seven right plan again. Obviously the resumes are keeping playing and even the old guys from the S, you guys are playing with loin growing and looney tunes and or strange tend as. I'm playing this year. They had line they played last year, but these bands from the S is still kicking it and it's it's such great news that they can get out and play live with it. Guys like you. Yeah, that's fantastic and you know, I know what it is. And in North America are crowds are like walk up crowd to I don't buy tickets to advance and just show up at the door, which is generally worked out. But you know, like I said, we just got off this tour from the toes with the toasters in the West Coast and we're got a bunch of shows cell out. So I mean people got to get out of that, got out of that that habit. They got to buy their take it to bad so that, you know, because I think it's just amazing how like Scott's just really kind of this revival again where people are super excited. So it's a good thing. But yeah, we totally appreciate the Scott Nation thing and that's what is bringing energy to the scene, you know. Yeah, definitely, and we have to think, well, I think we all have to think the interrupters are really putting Scott back on the map really and really drawing attention to the the genres that never went away. Yeah, exactly. I mean, yeah, that's definitely helped. You like having like, in at least in the states, having a band at this playing Scott's on the radio. You know, that one of the things that's just really pushing the scar scene. I mean that I think spotify is really changing things here too, because now often people have access to every Ska band. You know, there was always used to be a barrier to actually hearing the music, and now people have access to everything. It's just fantastic really. Yeah, exactly right. And I mentioned before I get I do the show obviously in the middle of the night in Australia and bands from all over the states want to get their music on the radio and not just in spotify, because they want to hear their back the band's been played, especially in Australia, and it's amazing the number of people are, the amount of reach now that people just send you some music instead of physically having to send you a CD or tape anything. Yeah, the MP three comes through and it's bad and you're there. Yeah, it's incredible. Like, I'm just so amazed that, like, you know, you're playing like my voice deals gone bad. Yeah, couples before. You're talking about thirty five days and these are like my buddies and like it. I do. Think it's so cool you're playing them on the radio in Australia. It's just sent that's I mean, I wish we could clone your radio show and put it different places in the whole world. You know, we need more of that. It's Fin Athic. Well, I'm more than willing to send it out their day, but it's if people want to put on their radio stations they can take this guy. Show would be for any time at all. That would be absolutely my pleasure. That's my gift to the world, I guess. All right. Well, we wish you safe trip to get to Australia. I know, we know. It's a long, long trip from from Detroit. Obviously for you guys, get here safe and saying I will see you in Brisbane next Thursday. You're going to put on a pumping show up there in great new band up there Alice Beiner supporting. Obviously, Francis and Steve are the resonators. They will be ably supporting you guys as well before putting on the first headline show of the tour. So we wish you the safest trip possible out to Australia and we will catch you next week. We cannot wait to spend a bit more time with the with yourself and the rest of the lads. It's going to be a fun filled five or six days, that's for sure. Yeah, definitely, yeah, thanks so much. Be If you will see it a few days. No Prom at all. All right, that is Dave. Could guests a from must have play we only hear men doze are one of my favorite must have plug songs. Remember, get your tickets to any of the five shows across the east coast.
